Workshop Description:
The weaving of paper beads evolved from a workshop taken at the guild 20+ years ago! In this workshop, you will learn how to braid paper strips into rounded paper beads that can be later used as a necklace. Instructions on how to cut the paper strips and fold them into beads will be given and how to mount them onto a cord, ribbon, or leather will be discussed. Step by step instructions on how to create the beads and various colored strips will be given out.
Students are requested to bring to class: Paper, scissors

Instructor Bio:
Chriztine Foltz studied textiles at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Denmark and received her Master of Interdisciplinary Art from Goddard College. During the 1980s, she designed woven fabrics for the home furnishing industry in NYC. Since then, she taught textiles on the college level for 16 years and is an e-textile prototype designer for various engineering companies.
