IN PERSON WORKSHOP
Date: October 8, 2025
Instructor: Krysten Morganti
Workshop Description: If you like playing with color and twills, turned twill blocks are the perfect next step! This class will help you understand how to create drafts of your own design. We will cover some basics about reading drafts, then look at how a variety of twill blocks can be created on an eight-shaft loom. We'll visualize some threadings, analyze some samples, do some off-loom weaving, and leave with drafts and a host of new design ideas to play with at home! Students need to be comfortable with drafts and how to read them.
Materials/Handouts Fee: $7
Attendee Limit: 14
Instructor Bio: Krysten Morganti loves weaving and spinning with every color there is, and especially enjoys the challenge of working with reclaimed materials. She works with vintage and antique looms and spinning wheels, which she restores to working condition in her barn in Concord, Massachusetts. Krysten is a compulsive teacher and lifelong learner, and may be responsible for getting hundreds of folks hooked on weaving and spinning.
