In late winter of 2009, members were invited to participate in a novel outreach project - Build a Hand Woven Bra.  The purpose of the project was to bring awareness to, and raise money for, the very serious subject of breast cancer in women.  Money raised has been used for free mammogram screening.

Thirteen members ultimately contributed to this uplifting project by creating lively hand woven - covered or decorated bras.  At shows, viewers were invited to vote for their favorite.  Barbara Herbster's "Cancer is a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" won the coveted booby prize for most popular.
