Any guild member in good standing with at least one year's membership may apply for an Education Grant.  The aggregate lifetime total granted to any one member will be $1000.

Current grant categories include:

  • WGB morning and special workshops.
  • NEWS, Convergence or other conference registration fees.
  • Tuition for textile related study at an accredited institution.
  • Skill development at a recognized weaving school.
  • Research or independent study.

Applications must be filed in writing to be reviewed by the Grants Committee.  Grant recipients are required to return something to the guild in exchange for the grant.  For instance, an article for the Bulletin, or leading a Weavers Helping Weavers session or workshop are great ways of giving back to the guild.  Grant Application Form.
