WGB Fall Weaving Classes will concentrate on what you need to learn to pass your Apprentice rating. See Weaving Ratings for Apprentice requirements. Classes start on September 20, 2 to 5 pm and continue every Tuesday until November 22. Ten classes, 30 hours of class for $215 (members) or $250 (non- members), checks made out to the Weaver's Guild of Boston and sent to Barbara before September 15. This year we are accepting payment before the classes begin. If we do not have at least four students the classes will be canceled. We meet on the third floor of the Kirkside building.

This is the perfect class for anyone considering working on an Apprentice rating. Acquire all the basic techniques and weaves and let your creative side shine at the same time. You can get help and ideas from books and magazines in our extensive WGB library and by participating in,or visiting our November sale in Weston. We are suggesting the book, Learning to Weave by Deborah Chandler to go along with your classes.  If you buy only one weaving book, this is the one to start with as it has been rewritten so many times it is nearly perfect. You can borrow it from our library, if you are a member.

Everyone who does not bring a loom will use a guild table loom in class. Members taking the class may rent a table loom to take home.  A WGB contract and deposit via MasterCard or Visa account slip will have to be filled out and signed.  If the loom is returned in original condition, the charge slip will be returned to you.
